Founder Sam Spence launched Executive Virtual Associate after a 22 year career in Banking. Since then, Sam and the team have gone on to work with clients all over Australia from varying industries.

Our Values

We believe in Ethics, Honesty, Integrity & Trust.

Because we work remotely to our clients, and in many cases, have never had the privilege of meeting face-to-face, we understand the importance of operating with Integrity and Trust in all our business operations. Because of this, we are proud to hold the International Virtual Assistants Association (IVAA) EthicsCheck Certification. A certification we achieved in 2013, and still hold today.

We believe in minimising our impact on the environment.

Executive Virtual Associate has pledged to lessen our impact on the environment. We have partnered with Carbon Neutral to deliver on our commitment, having contributed to 1,206 trees being planted since 2013 to offset our carbon emissions. In September 2017, we took A Pledge for Less Waste in our office. This is our commitment to reduce, recycle and reuse, as well as an opportunity to share our journey with other.

We believe in making a difference.

We are part of the largest possible movement of global citizens taking action to solve the world’s biggest challenges; Global Citizens.

We understand how hard it can be to operate a small business, we appreciate the opportunity to pay it forward by empowering entrepreneurs around the world with the help of Kiva.

Our Team

Sam Spence – Founder & Principal Executive Assistant

Before launching Executive Virtual Associate, Sam had an extensive 22-year career in the finance industry. With roles during this period varying from frontline customer service, project support, managing a team to supporting Regional Management and their teams, quality customer service has always been a priority.

Sam understands the importance of customer loyalty and enjoys exceeding client expectations.

Since 2010, Sam has provided administration remote support – Virtual Assistance. While working in a different location to her clients, Sam maintains a high work ethic and is passionate about providing superior administration support.

Sam successfully achieved a Diploma in Business Administration, adding to her current knowledge, having already completed a Diploma in Social Media Marketing, and Certificate I in Virtual Business Administration.

2016 saw Sam contribute to the handbook for Entrepreneurs – Every Entrepreneurs Guide: Running Your Own Business. A guide packed full of valuable insights and advice that tackle some of the most common (and often not so common) problems associated with running your own show, whether you’re working alone from home or running a business with employees.

In 2019, Sam discovered Shebah – Australia’s leading all-women rideshare service, providing safe transport and economic freedom to women across the country. Learning about Shebah came at a time when Sam was wanting to do something to help her fellow women. Within a month, she was signed up as a driver, and continues to drive women and children safely to their destinations.

Sam is a wife and mum, who enjoys being active in her local Bendigo Community. She is also a member of several associations and networking groups, including Australian Virtual Assistants Association, Business Chicks and BE Bendigo (Formerly Bendigo Business Council).
